Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate Change Adaptation

The Horn of Africa is living through some of the most severe droughts on record, punctuated by destructive floods. PACIDA helps communities anticipate and withstand these shocks: community-based early-warning systems, disaster contingency planning, drought-resilient livelihoods, natural-resource and rangeland management, and anticipatory action that releases support before a crisis peaks. This is the backbone of our resilience work — and where humanitarian relief and long-term development meet.
