Peace & Governance

Peace, Conflict Management & Governance

Competition over water and pasture, cattle raids, and cross-border tensions can turn scarcity into violence. PACIDA convenes inter-community peace dialogues and declarations, strengthens customary and formal conflict-resolution structures, and runs conflict early-warning and early-response systems. We deliberately include women and youth as peace actors, and we build the capacity of local governance so that natural resources are shared and disputes are settled without bloodshed — a foundation everything else depends on.
