What we do

Education

Every child in the drylands learning and thriving.

Education

Education

Education is the surest path out of poverty, yet dropout and out-of-school rates in ASAL counties remain among Kenya’s highest. PACIDA improves access and retention through classroom and dormitory construction, school feeding linkages, bursaries and learning materials, and mobile-friendly approaches for children of nomadic families. We invest especially in girls’ education — tackling early marriage, FGM and period poverty — and mobilise communities and boards of management to champion learning.
